That Beaver Dam just broke!
While we were packing up to leave for July 4th with family, the beaver dam broke! Where we were staying on our friend’s property is on an Indian reservation. So no relocating the animals, no securing the dam, nothing can be done, except clean up the mess every time it breaks.
Unfortunately, as the cell builds up behind the dam it creates a lot of pressure so that when it releases, it takes quite a bit of land from the road and neighboring properties. One of the other areas had a huge sinkhole that was created and washed out the road.
So we figured to let it dry out while we were gone. Only it didn’t really dry out and in our attempt to get out we buried deeper in the mud. So we had to call in the big crane tow truck to get us out.
He literally had to lift each end of the rv up and move it into solid ground. Then we could drive away.
So we are parked in a completely new spot, but suspicious the dam will affect our road. We are praying not.
