The Diary of the Remote RV Investor – Episode 133

Let it snow,  let it snow, let it snow!!

Ok so not so much if you are Kurt. Every winter the kids and I would block off the road on the hill where we lived and we would round up the neighborhood kids and asked and snow board down our giant hill. Then we would round up friends and drive to the mountains 2 hours away and have snow days.

We loved playing in the snow,  but I think the kids loved the hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and MREs. Because a good mom knows adventures are all about the foods and snacks 😉

As Elizabeth got older,  she didn’t want to wear snow pants,  she didn’t think they were cool enough for her,  so then she would be cold and wet.  So she just decided she didn’t like playing in the snow anymore.  This left Jonathan and I and whatever friends came with us.  One time when the snow pack was easily over 6 ft, we got to hear big foot.  It was so crazy,  everyone stopped and asked if they heard that.  Then we walked to Lake Wenatchee and could hear coyotes,  then heard them stop and the big foot start. I was able to record it and even sent it to some Bigfoot groups who authenticated it.

Since then Jonathan and I have had a few Bigfoot adventures,  but eventually he got too big for his snow pants and made the same complaints.  So sad for me as now I have to find other friends who like to play in the snow.  Is that you? Do you enjoy sledding or snowmobiling or snow boarding? I don’t know how to ski.

Tip for you mom’s,  make sure you have the next size up of snow pants before they need it,  so you can eliminate that excuse before it starts? Everybody is happier when they stay dry,  otherwise you just get a car full of kiddos in their ski vies cranking up the heat trying not to spill hot chocolate. Yes but eventually even that becomes the norm.

Thankfully this time we were parked for 3 weeks so Kurt had time to let the snow melt before he had to move the RV and it was never more than a few inches. He HATES driving in snow. But it is so pretty 😍
