While we’re traveling around, we often get the opportunity to see many different ways that people address their customers’ needs in the hospitality industry. Well, our executive rental business is the hospitality industry. It’s just on a different scale. So, because of that, we are always looking and keeping our eyes open for new ways and new things and paying attention to that. 

So, when our clients give us feedback, like, oh, this is the most comfortable bed. We pay attention to what kind of bed we put in there or this bed, was the worst or this bridge was really loud, or some of our favorite ones are. That’s not a real coffee pot. We have heard all kinds of comments and feedback and we love the feedback because it helps us good and bad. It helps us to determine if we’re putting products and things that are helpful to our clients and it makes their stay more enjoyable. Or if they’re bad and it’s making it not as enjoyable, we can swap things out. So, even down to our beds and our bedroom sets the Linens that we choose. We put duvet covers on everything. Do you know how many people in the industry? Don’t even know what a duvet cover is. Most people don’t realize it but in the hospitality industry in the hotels it’s what looks like a sheet over the top of the comforters. And that’s so that that is what is coming in contact with their skin instead of the comforters themselves. 

It kind of creates a barrier so it eliminates a lot more of the germs and bacteria. They’re easier to keep clean. It also allows for a not just more hygienic stay but more comfortable stay because if you have a down comforter sometimes you get those feathers poking out. It’s not very fun. So, we do listen. And so sometimes we’re looking at pillows and different kinds of pillows and what people like and don’t like and when they’re informing us that for a latex bed. Well, we just simply inform them if we have that or not or if they prefer a charcoal grill versus gas grill. Again, we’re just letting them know if we have it or not, but those are things that we keep in mind. So, as we continue to travel around, we’re always looking to update technology and some of the things that are coming out, all of our lamps, in our bedrooms, always either have a USB or an outlet plug on them, allowing for people to plug in their cell phones and devices. Some of ours have alarm clocks that you can plug in your USB or your device,  some of them are wireless. Charging alarm clocks, things of this nature. 

We put a lot of thought in there for that purpose. If we do that in a way that brings value, then our customers keep returning to us and we want our travel guests that are traveling professionals working and they’re there for, you know, three weeks to three months, to be as comfortable as possible. And to continue to choose us, knowing that they’re going to get the same level of care every single time they stay at one of our units. So, they can feel consistency. It is just like they would at a Marriott or Hilton and when they do that, it allows for us to not only gain repeat customers but keep everybody happy. We want them to be happy while they’re traveling and away from their families. 

We also want to continue to grow our business and get, you know, everybody up to speed. So, if our cleaners aren’t doing a good job, when they give us feedback about that, we can train better and we can do a better job of that. And in the same token, if there’s something that we can do something as simple as having water, that’s cold in the fridge when they come in on a hot day means a lot. So little things like that, that make a difference. We’re always happy to look. We’re always happy to check out something new and special that they’re doing and in doing so it provides us that opportunity. So, we look forward to that as we travel around and continue to travel and this is no different. 

We found some amazing duvet covers that still look great. But simple, easy to use. Many of our other folks are struggling with ties and this and that. And so, this helped our cleaners out and as you’ll see in the picture, it’s the difference between whether or not it’s covered or not makes a big difference for our guests and our cleaners as well. So, we want to keep doing things like this. 

So, until the next time we’ll figure out what next new hospitality needs will be able to meet our tasks that we can do to create that special care and thoughtfulness for our guests.
