What happens when you bring a group of Christian Entrepreneurs together for a couple days of masterminding. . . FIRE!!!! Yup explosions of all kinds! We made it to Orlando to meet with our Kingdom REI mastermind group for a few days of networking and intense work on our business.
It was an amazing time of food, fun and fellowship! It was hosted at one of our Board of Advisors lake house, Ryan and Jamie Smith, as most of you might know as Elevation Capital Group. When you have a group of folks dedicated to Christ and setting aside time to focus on their different ministries through business it creates massive explosions in our businesses and our ministries.
Jamie and Ryan’s beautiful restored 1901 lake house was the perfect setting to enjoy time as a family together. There was a 30 ft high water slide for the young at heart, swimming in the lake, and Ryan took folks out to wake board, or teach us how to for those who didn’t know, as well as tour the entire surrounding lake and homes. The evening was rounded out with fire dancing show that was spectacular!
We were not only blessed by Jamie and Ryan’s gracious hospitality, but the next day we got to have some intense time focusing on our marketing efforts with Scott Thomas, author of “Intentional influence in Sales” . We honed in each of our personal stories and presented for the honored achievement of 1st place winner, which went to our resident attorney the esteemed, Jon Napier. You clearly know he’s a trained professional speaker when he won without even knowing about the contest and putting it together in a matter of a few minutes. But the very close 2nd place went to a relative newbie to public speaking, Scott Stephens. Although the prizes and winners names might mean nothing to you, to those who attended it has tremendous meaning.
You see a mastermind can be set up for a specific time like a 2 day event, or a year long group with regular meetings and get togethers. Kingdom REI, which started as Kingdom Capitalists, is a year long group that incorporates monthly virtual meetings, weekly accountability groups, 3-4 in person get togethers, and usually 1 or 2 learning opportunities like in person workshops. This mastermind is a group that is dedicated to the business owners specifically involved in real estate. We then as a group look at our needs and wants and focus on how to tackle those through support, resources, or prayer. Those needs and wants aren’t always about business. Many times they are about families and personal needs. You see you become a family that works together being vulnerable to allow for growth both personal and professional. We celebrate the good times, pray through the tough times, and stand in the gap for all the other times in between.
